Thomas Was Lone creator Mike Bithell announces that he’s producing a new game, Volume.
Thomas Was Alone is the award winning game that proved that simplicity is always startlingly wonderful (especially when it comes to the occasionally overblown genre of games), and now Mike Bithell, the creator, has announced that he’s releasing another game, one slightly more complex looking than its predecessor, called Volume.
A top-down stealth action game where the goal is sneak around and steal things, it will also come with the ability to create and edit levels for the community to release amongst itself. It follows an unnamed protagonist as he “commits his crimes through stealth. He sneaks, he distracts, he avoids. He is never seen, and seldom heard. As he grows in popularity and notoriety, so will his inventory. Blackjacks, bugles, thunderclaps and veils are just some of the tools at [REDACTED]‘s disposal.”
More information about the game is going to be coming in the following months.
