Armada 2526 Prepares for Its UK Launch with an Ongoing Race Reveal

“Quand je vous aimerai?/Ma foi, je ne sais pas,/Peut-ítre jamais, peut-ítre demain.”  Yes, I know, just because it’s called a “space opera” doesn’t meant I should hold out for a Twi’lek singing Habanera.  While not quite as cool as my screenplay for Carmen in Space, Armada 2526 does seem pretty bad-ass, especially since it has recently Gone Gold.

In preparation for its UK release, publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Shining Pixel Studios have announced an ongoing reveal of the 12 playable races in the game.  These unveilings will cover not only each race’s characteristics, but also their weapons and play-styles.  The first race, the Qa Qa (I’m going to assume that’s a hard “A” sound to counter my desire to take a jab at their name), has been detailed today.  Each day will see information on a race posted until the game’s release on June 25.

Iceberg Interactive has announced that localized versions of Armada 2526 will be appearing in Germany and France in August.  Build your race from the ground-up and conquer the known universe in the eternally retold tale of galactic domination.
