The Lego Star Wars franchise has almost become independent of the source material it’s based on. I mean it’s damn well made a genre of its own, with Lego Batman and Indiana Jones following suit. Still, as stones will keep rolling, come Autumn the third instalment in the series is due to land.
Based upon the Clone Wars animated series, the title is set to be available for every system under the sun. With features such as “brand new battle modes, giving players unique, head-to-head combat”, an enhanced level editor with the ability for “customized bases and in-game battlefields”. Finally “Squad command, Lightsaber slicing, Lightsaber jumps, long distance Jedi attacks and Grapple Tie-Ups”.
Which is all well and good, but until I get Lego Terminator, Lego Predator, or Lego Aliens I’m not biting.
