This week we talk about the Develop conference, the absurd concept of quadruple-A games, and the Oculus Rift on mobile devices.
It’s another week of the BeefJack Podcast and Jamie leads the discussion, reporting back from Develop Conference, smarter on the inside and crispier on the outside. Next, the crew talks about a less fascinating and far more absurd concept of quadruple-A games presented by Jesse Schell earlier this week. AAA already means big budget. No need to have an extra A to indicate bigger budget. Lastly, the concept of Oculus Rift on mobile platforms brings the three back to fascination and intrigue but not without a few reservations on what the virtual reality glasses will actually bring to the industry.
James was only able to play The Walking Dead: 400 Days DLC and found it a tad disjointed, but still a good collection of short stories . Jamie spent his week unscrupulously buying a boatload of games during the Steam Summer Sale, while Anthony played the most games he ever played in one week with Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded and Beatbuddy as his highlights.
