Music is so vital in creating atmosphere and emotion in a game, and Quantic Dream are known for doing so superbly. Much of that success is due to Normand Corbeil, who has died aged 56.
Corbeil, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, passed away over the weekend. He was the creator of the Heavy Rain soundtrack, and a user that claimed to be his son, Orly83 confirmed that he lost his battle with cancer yesterday in a post on The Cancer Forum.
“My father, Normand Corbeil, 56, passed away today at 2:56 PM. He was a great composer and an amazing dad… I am in shock.” The post read.
Corbeil was working on Quantic Dreams next game, Beyond: Two Souls, and over his career scored both games and films.
