Dead or Alive 5+, the Vita version of the game, is on its way, and before it arrives there’s been some explanation of how the titles cross play is going to work.
When Dead or Alive 5 arrives on the Vita in March it will be able to interact with the PS3 version of the game in a bunch of ways, not least of which is Cross Platform fights.
Both games will run at 60fps and there will be a notification of which platform your opponent is on, but fights between platforms should stay as smooth as DOA5 has been from the start.
On top of that functionality, players with a copy of the game on both platforms can shuffle save data between the two versions, as well as being able to share all unlocks and DLC. This means it will be the same experience whether you are on the couch at home, playing on your big TV, or on the tube and just fitting in a couple of fights on the way to work or school.
