News: Following retails leaks, Rockstar and Take-Two have officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V will launch on PS3 and Xbox 360 in Spring 2013.

Hot on the heels of NeoGAF, users of which had uncovered some promotional artwork for Grand Theft Auto V which specified a Spring 2013 release, Rockstar and Take-Two have announced that Grand Theft Auto V will get – you’ll never guess – a Spring 2013 release.

Curiously, the press release only mentions the PS3 and Xbox 360 as launch platforms. This doesn’t necessarily mean the PC version will have a delayed launch, but it wouldn’t be the first time a Rockstar game took its time coming to Windows – the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV was released over seven months after its console counterparts, and L.A. Noire had a similar delay of over five months. At least the former was bundled with a bonus video editor, leading to such amusing creations as this.
