Sony: BioShock Infinite won’t have new Move peripheral

It was recently speculated that BioShock Infinite’s PS Move compatibility would bring with it an extra peripheral, but Sony has said that this is simply not the case.

Reported yesterday, a post regarding BioShock Infinite on the PSN Blog UK said that “A special PS Move peripheral is being produced that will draw you even deeper into this stunning vision of a parallel future,”. Unfortunately, this is simply not the case.

Sony has said since this time that there is no peripheral ‘being made’.

With the release of Bioshock Infinite set for next year, there is still plenty of time for such a peripheral to be made. Whether or not this is a simple marketing stunt to gauge reaction and interest in Sony’s motion control market remains to be seen.
