British retailer, GAME, jumped the gun earlier today by confirming Medal of Honor 2 and Need for Speed 13 for 2012 after seeing both titles during an EA presentation at CES.
We all expected that they were in the works anyway, but GAME got a little over-excited after seeing Medal of Honor 2 and the tentatively-titled Need for Speed 13 at an EA presentation during CES and announced both games will be out this year, when they were supposed to remain hush.
“This morning we’re at an EA presentation, where we hope to see some pretty cool games! Don’t know what we can say yet but stay tuned!” they tweeted earlier in the day.
An hour or so later, with the presentation concluded, it seems they presumed the information was open to all: ”EA presentation was great. Had mentions of a new Medal of Honour [sic] and Need for Speed 13! EA have an exciting year ahead.” The tweet has now been removed.
Last year’s Need for Speed: The Run didn’t excite us in the slightest, so hopefully the series is returning to Burnout and Hot Pursuit developer, Criterion, for its 13th instalment.
As for Medal of Honor 2, we already know that Danger Close will be in charge again, but can they rise above 2010′s mediocre attempt?
